You are invited to attend “Local History Spotlight: Significant Voice to Remember” which focuses on the life and times of Dr. B. George Blake on Monday, February 11th, 6:00 p.m. at the McLaughlin Branch of Oshawa Public Libraries, 65 Bagot Street, Oshawa. Dr. Blake will also be honoured at the Third Annual City of Oshawa Black History Month Proclamation and Presentation by e-CAMP MENTORing on February 19th, 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers, 50 Centre St. South, Oshawa.
The late Dr. Blake was the Founder and first Director of the Pinewood Centre in Oshawa Ontario as well as Founder of the Durham Folklore Storytellers.
